In today's Real Estate market, many homeowners find that, for a number of reasons, they have little to no equity in their homes. This can mean that they can't sell their home with a realtor without having to pay the 6-7% commission out of their pocket. Many times we can buy or lease these houses and help homeowners in this situation if they qualify. Q. My home needs lots of repairs. Do you buy fixer-upper properties? A. Yes! This depends on what you hope to accomplish and how soon you want to sell your house. Sometimes it is your best option and we will tell you so. However many times it is not, and we can provide options that most Realtors can not. Be careful when signing a contract with a realtor, especially if you need to sell soon, the process can take 6-12 months, and may limit your options. Make sure you can get out of any contract you sign with a realtor if you are not happy with the service you receive. Q. What do I do if I owe more than the house is worth? A. In today's declining real estate market many people are facing a similar problem, making it almost impossible for them to sell their house without bringing a lot of money to closing.
